Aboard the Arcada

You find yourself aboard the Xenon starship Arcada, home of the Star Generator. Your quiet nap in a storage closet is rudely interrupted by an alarm - the Arcada has been boarded by alien invaders! It looks like they've set the Arcada to self-destruct itself in a few minutes. Can you get off the ship in time?

Arcada Data Archive

Arcada Data Archive (Room 1)

"This is the Arcada's data archive. Many volumes of information are stored on data cartridges. There is also a computer console here."

Hints

How can I get a cartridge?

Not with your hands.
There seem to be very many of them. How will you know which one you need?
Data cartridge retrieval is computer-controlled.
Use the computer terminal to retrieve the cartridge you need.
Look at the screen, then type the name of the cartridge you want.
Don't forget to get the cartridge from the retrieval unit.

Do I need a cartridge?

Since this is an adventure game, the data archive is probably here for a reason.
Yes.
But you should figure out which one.

Which cartridge do I need?

Someone will tell you this.
If you wait around long enough (it helps to leave and enter the room again), you'll now.
An injured lab scientist will stagger into the data archive and die.
He tells you the name of the cartridge you need.
The name of the data cartridge is Astral Body.

Fun things to do

Insert the cartridge in the slot. Aliens will be notified immediately and one will come and shoot you.

Speak to the dead scientist: "In his current condition, the man is not much of a conversationalist."

Look at the dead scientist: "He certainly looks dead.  Do you get off on checking out stiffs?"

Look at the door. The game will come back with a phrase from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Strange stuff

There's a message in the code "I warned you, but noooooo! Did you listen?!" It is not used, but presumably it has to do with inserting the cartridge in the slot (and getting shot by an alien).
